One common complaint about the Golden Greek GGTS is that it can be challenging to use with common 510-based atomizers, particularly without sacrificing features such as the GGTS’s built in air control. For quite some time, owners of the GGTS have settled for having to buy the optional Stealth cap, daisy-chaining thread adapters, or resigning themselves to only being able to use a subset of Golden Greek atomizers.
With the availability of this new adapter, those days are, at long last, over. The GGTS adapter is a long, thin two-piece adapter that attached natively to the GGTS, extending a 510 connector to the length required to allow any atomizer with a 510 connector to sit flush with the GGTS, without disabling or bypassing air control.
The two pieces consist of the main adapter body, and a brass contact piece, with two rubber O-rings, which sits inside. This configuration extends connectivity out to the atomizer and holds the brass contact in place, , while also greatly reducing the effect of leaks which could pass back to the battery.
The adapter screws on easily, and once in place maintains a very solid connection. We have experienced no slippage or connectivity issues with any 510-based atomizer we’ve used with the adapter, and all of them have easily threaded on and off the adapter.
At $26.00 from Clouds of Vapor, the United States’ Golden Greek distributor, the price of this adapter is, admittedly, quite a bit higher than that of the smaller adapters others had used previously. However, there is no need to daisy-chain adapters, and in our experience, the GGTS Adapter has proven to be much sturdier than other adapters we’d used before, which would break quite often.
We’d really like to see this adapter included with new GGTS’s sold in the future. It can be rather frustrating, particularly for people new to GG hardware, to find they can’t use their favorite atomizer with it, and the GGTS Adapter does a rather admirable job of eliminating that problem.
